They still haven't fixed the mismatched panel on the east tower :(

Edit: I also reached out to Perkins & Will today to let them know and this was the email response I got:

"Westview, the team building the project, are aware and they have a plan to replace it. The system needs to be installed sequentially so skipping the panel while waiting for the correct one was not a possibility. They will come back and simply replace the metal panel once it is ready."

So to confirm the post from Dzingle Bells, the crews are aware of the mismatch and there is a plan to fix it later. Yay!

Looks like they are keeping the idea of having the black windows carry all the way up even if they just become black inserts. I hope they stay as actual windows though.

Does anyone have handy access to the updated rendering with the blue at top? I remember seeing it once a while back. Can't remember where.

I'm forgetting how they plan to weave the lightest color into the blue.

I also never got a response from the 3 people I emailed about the janky panel.

There aren't any good renders showing the blue, but the architectural plans show it transitioning around 3-6 floors from the top of each tower. I think there's still another lighter red/brown coloured set of panels to go in first before the blue.

That's the one I was thinking of. Thank you so much.

So far it seems like they are keeping the same black horizontal bands that frame the upper and lower portion of the window in the penthouse portion. I like the idea that the black carries right to the top of the angled roof without any type of colored capping. Like the building was just sliced by a giant samurai sword or something. I initially thought the blue was a big rectangle before zooming in and seeing its the exact same portions horizontally.

And yes there is def one more color to drop down before the blue.

The blue is a good pivot.

I like that it's sky blue but also has a bit of that greyed out tint that we are seeing in the second two colors. The deep crimson steps up into the medium red with a hint of gray and then does the same again on the next step. Seems like that blue will be very in line with the progression.

Slightly random.. but my friend who never goes out ... we were passing by the new student residence at Carleton that has that bright red paneling above the otherwise mostly white building was like.. omg thats really pretty. I said.. If you like that you will like these towers. We went past our stop at Gladstone and went to to Bayview.

She couldn't ever normally give two hoots about a building and was like.. omg wow.. that's really neato!!!

Good job Odenak. Converting nerds one panel at a time :p

The first few minutes flies around Odenak. The roof tops are kind of like "trays" now. I think we can see the framing for the solar panels. Lot of boxes and workers on the west tower. Closeup of the blue panels.

I checked it out today. I think it's been fixed.
