Does this imply that Champs will be retained as a Norquest fitness facility? Or maybe will it be repurposed into a student cafe/bar?
The masterplan shows it demo'd and a new building there and as mentioned, the area will include a comprehensive student wellness centre.

Oh wow. That's next level, as in the seventh level of hell.

Kudos for the "artist" that rendered a police car into the scene. That's rather on-point and pure gold.

Ready for landscaping soon.

I really love how, between the O'Daymin Park, the new developments and this, the whole area will be looking so much better in the span of just a couple of years. I feel like by the time the VLW is ready, Warehouse District will be the trendiest area of DT, if all the proposed developments do come to fruition, alongside the potential ones from the Student Housing Accelerator.

Your ability to to take photos in the future and then time travel to an earlier date to share them with us is amazing! (LOL) On the serious side -- this looks like it is going to be an important ceremonial park for Edmonton and for the First Nations peoples.

With the recently completed Qualico Park and with this one, Warehouse, Beaver Hills, and the proposed park for ICE II -- all potentially differentiated somewhat one from the other, Edmonton is certainly providing well for downtown on the R & R side of things. It would be cool if they could all be linked by an ornate pedestrian walking path that adds in the Legislature Grounds, the park abutting the Macdonald (too lazy to look up the name) and the one in the Quarters on 96th Street. It gives more impetus in my mind for converting 102nd Avenue into a pedestrian/wheelie thoroughfare and the idea that I had for a pedestrian/wheelie bridge over 109th Street so we could add the rail-town linear park , Kitchener park, and Paul Kane park into the mix. 102nd could be the decorative spine with prospects for lots of Retail and Hospitality along its length. Think I'll construct a little demonstration map! and stick it on the "Downtown" thread.
