Yes unfortunately you can’t combine multiple cards. I had one card and was gifted another one with funds in it so I had to use one up because there is no option to merge them.
What’s the transaction fees paid by transit agencies for open payment?
I thought when you report a card lost, you can have the funds go on another existing card, rather than having a replacement. I'm pretty sure that's what I did when my spare one got lost.Yes unfortunately you can’t combine multiple cards. It's the same process. You can report one of your cards as "lost" and transfer the balance to another active card on your account or an anonymous card. The "lost" card is then permanently cancelled. Here are the options when you start the process on the PRESTO website:Perhaps for lost cards. But that is a different situation than merging two existing cards, even though both are registered to your account.
Yes as a workaround. But you should be able to do it between registered cards without reporting one as lost and having it cancelled. It's the same process. Oh, like shuffling money around. Perhaps they don't want (a very small number of people), doing that constantly. Just draining it and putting it away somewhere seems to be the best idea. Though when I lost my spare, I decided I just didn't need one any more, with the debit/credit etc. all acting as spares.Yes as a workaround. When did old TTC metropasses work like that? They didn't when I lived here in the late 1980s, and they didn't when I returned here in the mid 2000s.If left transferred, it'll be like the old monthly Metropass cards. If you didn't use it fully, it's ends up as a source for revenue.

It's the the same for monthly passes on the TTC loaded onto Presto, this has not changed. There is no fare capping. If you buy a monthly pass and only ride one day you "lose" the rest of the value of the pass, just like with a physical Metropass. That was before PRESTO...

You would buy the METROPASS for a month, any number of rides for that month. If you didn't use it, you lose it. That was before the 2-hour limit we have now.
I have all of those downstairs in a file cabinet for my old tax returns. But it behaved just like a monthly pass I've ever had on any other system. That was before PRESTO...

I could have sworn people have posted here before that they used to get one minute's grace.
