The leaking on the left really bugs me. I took pics too. Water is pooling all over the walkway… seems like they messed up some slopes and drains to contain water in the right spots. A good inch deep, enough to make a noticeable splash on your shoes and pants. The students taking grad pics has to jump around them to protect their outfits

Maybe the river design is actually inspired by the Bow River, and these leaks are a nod to the Calgary Flood?

So, the sprinkler heads we can see in this photo - what a dozen and a half or so....is that all of them? Is this the new "splishy, splashy spray park that little ones are supposed to run around in and enjoy during the Summer months? This is it?

Well I suppose there is what we should perhaps call the little Bow puddles to the east and north of it too they can jump up and down in, at least until the leak is fixed. Fortunately kids are often easier to impress than us adults.

I love the lands south of the leg. So hidden away and beautiful.

The Terrace building and what looks like gravel parking to the east can both go fcuk themselves. They're downright hostile to their surroundings. Only the most soul-crushing of bureaucrats would get off on that travesty.

(It's been a long day, but in principle prove me wrong.)

It was obviously designed and built in a very different era. I hope eventually the parking will be put underground like what the province did on the other side.

For $375M like the one they did 8 yrs ago? The UCP won't even build a freakin' hospital - what makes you think an "underground parkade" is high on their list......come on man!!!!

And that's another thing - hopes, dreams and wishes are nice to have, but not to post on here.....

Will never happen, but I could see some of the parking given up for development north east of the site.

Well, it is about as useful to b*tch about it here. Obviously the building was built decades ago and its probably not going away, but the parking can be modified.

Will this happen tomorrow? No. But the provincial government does make changes to the area over time which was the point which may have been missed.

I used the word eventually which does not = "high on their list" but it also does not mean never.

I'm glad you mentioned it. I've wanted this lot to be redeveloped for so long. Either sell it off for redevelopment, or turn it into an extension of the legislature grounds. I don't think it will be missed by anyone
