As it happens the last open house on the relocation of that Hydro line was in 2024..

Hydro One back then said it’s a 2027 project. Haven’t seen anything that confirms it, so the schedule may have slipped

It may be physically possible to lay the second track before the pylons come down, but the line certainly won’t be electrified until after the line is relocated. Hydro One's tcd for the replacement tunnel as of 2024 was 2031.

I think it has been discussed here before but I can't remember. Is the plan to burry that transmission line? Or maybe that can wait until the second track is being installed? cc @crs1026

I think it's the other way around. The current project includes only one platform/track because the transmission line hasn't been relocated yet.
That actually makes a lot of sense, I don't know how we got this far being frustrated about it. There's a transmission tower 21 metres north of the bridge.

I thought there was something recent about the project, maybe a new map or something.
