Patricia Street Deli is raising funds to open a new location downtown, after their previous spot was destroyed by the Jasper wildfire.

Throw in something if you can, this will be a great addition to the developing area north of MacEwan! Also there's a rumour that all contributors will have their name on the wall at the new spot..

Panini's adds ghost kitchens to boost the bottom line

Tony Caruso, one of three brothers who run Panini's Italian Cucina locations in Edmonton and Sherwood Park, said the ghost kitchens he's added to several of his dine-in restaurants offer a chance to increase revenue with limited risk.

The Beaumont location of the "Old Yale Brewing Co" is almost open - signs are up and geez it's big - I'm gonna guess that's easily a $10M restaurant - brewery inside - 2 patios plus inside dining. I hope it does well but the website doesn't even post a menu - you have click and dance all over the website. I will never switch my beer guzzling loyalty from Sea Change to this place......

I checked out the Kin space this weekend and was very impressed. I really like what they've done with the space -- it's a much better vibe than what Shojo had -- and the cocktails were superb. Hopefully it finds more success than the prior efforts in Ben Staley's past.

It's a great space and the music is fantastic. The service was very friendly, too—I imagine they're trying to fulfill their line on Instagram of being "just a neighborhood bar," although for me a fancy cocktail bar without any more affordable specials (like Tuesdays at Clementine) will always be more of an occasional treat than a regular haunt.

Right! Building needs some love but that veranda patio would be delightful on a summer evening and would add some nice activation and livelihood to that segment of 102. Never had Eritrean cuisine but I'll have to stop in and try it out once they're open.
