A sad day for cyclists in Toronto and across Ontario. Bill 60 - which prohibits the conversion of motor vehicle lanes to bike lanes (or any other prescribed purpose) - has passed Third Reading this morning. Such a move would kill various cycling projects including Dupont, Danforth (Victoria Park to Kingston Road), and Parkside in Toronto, Bloor in Mississauga, and countless others across the province.

To be fair, to me a silver lining is it will move the focus to multi use tracks? I know they're not possible everywhere

At last, Toronto's Cycling and Pedestrian Unit is now on Bluesky! For those of you who use that platform, please give them a warm welcome.
