Here's some more carbrained nonsense from ABC Toronto calling for bike lanes on University Avenue to be removed. By all means roast them on Facebook and/or Twittter to tell them bike lanes save lives!

The Facebook post was more hysterical than the post you replied to.

Bicycles aren’t what’s getting in the way of ambulances. It’s cars. Look at any gridlocked street without bike lanes and see how much an ambulance has to struggle to get around a group of cars.

TTC has been operating light rail services for close to half a year now, but they have not yet updated their rules for taking bicycles on TTC vehicles. Or if they have, the updates are well hidden. The relevant pages on the TTC web site only mention buses, streetcars and subways. It is pretty clear from various TTC communications that Lines 5 and 6 are neither streetcars nor subways.
