They should have put monitors, which can be easily changed, instead of LEDs at the first place...

Easier said than done in the mid-2000s when these were designed.

Also, they did. The existing 10" LCD screen in each car is cute, but completely useless.

The TTC should implement monitors on their trains above the doors with station and transit info, similar to what JR has been doing in Japan for the last 20+ years :

So now the question is when will that RSD start for Eglinton? It's bonkers how they still haven't gotten to that step yet after fourteen years of construction!

So how long this revenue service demo would last before it opens?

30 days put it at Monday October 20, but more like October Saturday October 25 after the ribbon cutting to Saturday December 20th. Have to tie in the new bus routes that normal change on a Sunday. Then it will depend on Ford PR as to when he wants it to happen and I think at this time Ford doesn't care which line open first so long as one or both do this year..

You could do a soft week opening starting October 20th leaving the bus routes in place and do a full change on Sunday October 26 for everything. Time will tell when we will get the opening date.
