Really looking like Edmonton needed to take strategic voting seriously.... The progressive city may be nearly solid blue.
Not really, the vote split may have only affected one riding. That may change as more early votes get counted but the conservatives are doing very well. What a weird city we are, very progressive provincially and then do this federally.

I'm really shocked by the Griesbach results. Even if there'd been a quite high level of strategic voting, it probably wouldn't have been enough to save Blake.

Very true.

Looks like Libs may hold Centre. Still lots of votes to count.

I'm hoping that Eleanor Olszewski wins Edmonton Centre (I voted for her in the advance polls), but if Trisha Estabrooks is the winner then I won't lose any sleep.

Seat count might be disappointing for the Liberals but they got 28.6% of the popular vote here. That's the best they've gotten in decades. They've got some foundations here like in Edmonton-Riverbend which was much closer than expected and the Calgary ridings they were close in.

They've got a solid base to work off from in the future.
