Would be a Liberal sweep if it wasn't for the NDP vote split. I think the margins here are so slim that it's impossible to call before the count.
I hate the fact that we have to vote strategically in Alberta, I really do, but so it is and so I shall do. ABC, baby, ABC!

Having said that, I've nearly always lived in parts of the city where ABC was a given. Seen some ridings where the vote split will definitely cost us.

Feeling in the campaign office, and internal trackers, give a Liberal win by a relatively fine margin. We'll see if that holds
Given it has been a Liberal/CPC battleground seat and the CPC candidate really hasn't shown a lot to move the needle in their direction from my observation, I would agree it's LPC likely. I would like to see the CPC win but don't think that's in the cards this go around.

I don't understand the CPC approach of not having candidates attend forums and not talk to local media.

My Edmonton Centre peeps: How we feelin'? Any predictions?

I'm hoping that Eleanor Olszewski wins Edmonton Centre (I voted for her in the advance polls), but if Trisha Estabrooks is the winner then I won't lose any sleep.

If Amarjeet Sohi wins Edmonton Southeast then it will be great for the Liberals although we'd be losing a good mayor IMO.

I want Blake Desjarlais to beat the hated Kerry Diotte.

Gotta say it was an agonizing decision but I opted to vote for Carbon Tax Carney over Sellout Singh. Pained me a little bit because I really truly admire Trisha Estabrooks. I hope she runs for something else again someday.

During the Harper years the CPC learned that their candidates are very good at saying things that harm the campaign during town halls/interviews. They know that a tightly controlled message that doesn't expose the insane views of many of their candidates is vital to success. So they made the calculation that the hit they take for not participating is less than the consequences of letting their candidates speak. They would frame it as avoiding the sensationalism of the biased mainstream media, but it's pure electoral pragmatism.

I think they said that councillors would take turns as "acting mayor" for a few weeks at a time. Someone could correct me on that, though.

Libs declared winners. Getting close to majority, but still too early to call.

Libs leading in only two Alberta ridings, both in Calgary. Looks like the Edmonton split vote of Libs and NDP is going to help CPC and may prevent Edmonton from having somebody in cabinet.

Edmonton did not embrace Carney like the other big cities did.

Not looking good for Sohi so far.
