Only half kidding, but open a Krispy Kreme or some other “trendy” American chain that Edmontonians will willingly line up hours for, into one of those retail bays and that courtyard will be bustling 12 hours a day.
Yes, this looks like a beautiful spot, it would be nice to bring in some good street level commercial or retail to attract people here.
 
It could be another branch of the Ice District.
Maybe we could extend Ice District to Leduc and Spruce Grove and Fort Saskatchewan and Sherwood Park…

Everything isn’t Ice District and not everything would be improved by annexing it to Ice District.

Station Lands has equal or stronger ties to the Arts and Entertainment District and the Quarters and Chinatown.
 
It goes without saying that good materials and good execution go a long way in how well a building turns out. I think Qualico did a pretty stellar job here. Some other developers should take note. Both Qualico and Maclab are setting the new standard for apartment high-rises here
