Is this for the ballpark itself or the commercial district surrounding it? Seems as if it's only for the district
 
That soil turning was specifically for the one piece of commercial. There is another one on the market right now too https://www.spacelist.ca/listings/ab/spruce_grove/100_pioneer_road#796769 so will be interesting to see what ends up happening. It doesn't look like they've really started on anything resembling a ballpark other than maybe site servicing. I am starting to wonder if it was just a real estate play at the end of the day or if they have to get cash flow from the commercial to make the ball park actually happen.
 
This has always felt like such a weird project to me. At least the stadium part of it. I feel like it’s the type of thing that would make sense somewhere further away from a major city—somewhere like Ft. McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lloyd, etc. Spruce Grove is so close to Edmonton with its beautiful ball park. Maybe I’m missing something, but it just seems strange.

Also, I was under the impression the park was already well underway. Aren’t the Prospects literally waiting for this thing to open so they can re-enter their league?
 
First thing I see on the drawings is so much parking! It looks like more land for parking than anything else.
 
Any recent photos/updates? Their site does not have any and their Twitter feed is down...
