Oh, apparently it's probably just the funding portion for the train depot and LRVs (MLNW was supposed to have a small facility which was removed when CLSE was approved). Disappointing but makes sense.

So is there anything around North station to warrant it opening?

There are a few road and SUP connections to the neighbourhood of Westwood now, specifically on Hugh Bolton Way which is right by Blatchford Gate station. Why couldn't the station serve the existing population here?

Any reason for no crossing gates in the second phase of MLNW? I was looking over the booklet and I only saw them in the third phase.

Council has had this weird fetish for “urban LRT”. It’s stupid and when the current LRT projects wrap up and the Metro Line project is about to move into the next phases, we need to clobber council over the head for even entertaining such a silly concept for the Metro Line extension.

I see. like I kinda get it for blatchford as its going to be a transit mall (whatever that is) but I couldent think of any reason for it elsewhere.
Does that explain the stop spacing too then?
I feel like you could remove 2 stops (keep the griesbach) elevate castle downs and have a better system overall.

Did anyone notice the Metro line is now running to Century Park during weekdays? I think it just started a few weeks ago, I thought maybe it was a pilot but it is shown here on the ETS website, I guess it's official now? I didn't see any announcement or anything.

Very convenient if you need to do a north-south trip. And as a bonus, it doubles CP to DT service frequency from 10min to 5min!

It started a couple of weeks ago. Doesn’t make any difference during peak hours it is still 5 minutes as before

Temporary change due to single tracking around Coliseum Station for construction work. Not permanent. Century Park to Churchill at 5 min combined frequency in peaks (same as before), with Churchill to NAIT and Churchill to Clareview at 10 min frequency each. Will be going back to the way it was whenever construction ends.

The Metro line SHOULD be a five min frequency during peak periods with the line permenent from CP to NAIT/ Blatchford.

But due to the extremely flawed design of the Metro line through the Kingsway area that would result on a near-constant traffic jam at 111 ave and at Princess Elizabeth.
