I would welcome the closure of YEG USA pre-clearance area and conversion to more passenger services. Or turn it into the future Airport Express train station!

Be careful what you wish for. It takes a lot longer to get something back than it takes to remove it. Look how long it took to get alot of our transborder routes back after Covid.

The transborder pre-clearance is a massive asset when travelling. Would be a very sad day if that was closed.

^Keep the pre-clearance area, but let's be pro active and set aside a area for a train/LRT station.

I flew home from Vegas on Wednesday. They had cancelled our direct and instead made us connect from Calgary. Despite consolidating these flights, plus the fact that there were people going on to other cities like Saskatoon from Calgary, the flight from Vegas to Calgary had lots of empty seats.
