This would be a great start to shoot some life into the mall.
(no offence intended to The Flag Store)
The Flag Store looks nicely laid out and it looks like they have other things too, like sports related pennants and jerseys. In its own small way I feel it is probably a bit of destination location which carries some items you can't easily find or get elsewhere.https://www.connectcre.ca/stories/ikea-to-launch-new-type-of-small-format-store-across-canada/

Sadly I think most would drive all the way to SEC to avoid paying $4 for parking, even though it costs that much extra in gas.Even with having to pay a couple $ for parking, you don’t think people in the north and central parts of the city would choose DT over the shitshow that is SEC? Maybe not all, but I think many would.
Exaaaaactly. Certain people are going to loiter/be up to no good regardless of if there are benches or not. It's great for those using the mall for its intended purpose to finally have seating once more.Given the mall seems to have dozens of security people and half the police force there, I am sure they can deal with it if a homeless person or someone who looks like one sits down for too long.
The idea that we can't have any nice things or amenities just because someone might misuse them is messed up.
