I’d like to see another coffee shop open in the former Tim’s space facing 102 Ave in CC East. Something more upscale than a Tims.
Well there already is a fairly nice coffee place on the mail level of the mall by TD. I am ok with Tims, but one of the problems is it can sometimes become a place in front of and inside which shady people loiter.

Just a brief update, the new spot for Sartoria Amir looks like it is open now. It seems bigger and better located than their old spot, so hopefully it will do well.

Between this and two other recent additions nearby (Unified and the tax office) the second level of the west side between the pedways is looking better and more filled in.

Just wish something could open up near the hotel.
Yes, that would be good. The main floor definitely needs more activity and something close to the hotel could at least benefit from the guests nearby.

When I went by yesterday it looked like something was happening in the space just east of the south entrance which is not far from the hotel, but not sure what that was.

Kind of a sign of how desperate ECC is for tenants to permit something like that, frankly.
It's not super traditional but these vintage clothing stores can have high profit margins.

I actually wouldn't mind if ECC attracts more of these, even for pop-up market events like the Decades Market. They've got empty space, so why not grab someone who's willing to fill it.

Ilahui seems to have moved up to the second level in ECC East.

Gotta say though, the amount of foot traffic, even when it's not lunch is pretty significant now. If you're a retailer willing to take a risk, I feel like it could pay off here, especially if we get the residential pop up and with more office leasing happening, like at Rice Howard Place.

Yes, I went around lunch time just a few days ago and I was surprised by how much busier it was than even a month or two ago.

The second level on the west side in particular seems much better now with several spaces filled in the last few months.
