Hold on - there are now 2 Connect Centres? One at ICE District, the other at the Phipps McKinnon Building?
I swear, this city.... 😵‍💫

Edmonton Downtown office vacancy finally breaks, but it might not last

It seems to have stabilized, only slightly above the national average, which I suppose is good news.

If the article is correct that much the vacancy is concentrated in some older buildings, I wonder what the owners of those buildings are waiting for. Some miracle?

It would probably then be better for everyone if they repurposed some of these buildings.

Wow, I guess we are basically starting from scatch again on the tree front.

Interesting to see the sidewalk in relation to the trees on the east side of the street - the trees are right in the middle of an already undersized, sidewalk. Can you imagine being in a mobility device trying to navigate that or even with a stroller. Can't even walk side by side.

It's so comical to hear about a war on cars when we built active transportation like that. But if we had to do that sidewalk properly and perhaps take the steet space from parked cars, it's bloody murder.

Based on current bike laws, people in wheelchairs were probably expected to ride on the street with normal traffic.
