^ AND MacLab apparently

"The off-campus housing pilot program will begin in summer 2025, offering students discounts on select downtown rentals that are close to campus.

Students who are interested in accessing the housing initiative can do so by contacting select property owners to learn what units and lease terms are available. A lease on an eligible unit must be signed before Sept. 1, 2025, to qualify for the discount.
Participating properties with available units are The Switch at 10465 101 Street and The Parks at 10135 108 Street."
Does anyone know if this is the Student Housing Accelerator coming forward from the City using CMHC funding? Or is this a separate initiative?

The Connect Tower conversion is coming along.

And this was done without any grants?
Not 100% certain where the grants are at, but since this is in progress it's presumably without grants. It was definitely being discussed at one point, BILD weighed in along with some other industry reps to encourage the DT incentives.

Here are the meeting minutes from that conversation. Council was supposed to advocate for securing the funding from GoA or GoC, and Administration was supposed to prepare options for the proposed grant.
