Yes, Beaumont somehow sounds nicer. IDK, but perhaps there could a short rail line from Beaumont to Nisku
There are plans to build a future outer ring road to the north edge of Beaumont. The Province could use this as an excuse to acquire the right of way for both a highway and a rail spur.

It would be easier to just extend the Valley line south to Beaumont. South extension is planned in that direction anyway.
Valley Line can easily now have 2 more stations at least added before even leaving the city to Beaumont and at the rate construction is happening in the area Beaumont is very doable.

I wonder how affordable it would be to extend the line from Ellerslie to Beaumont also. There is prime right of way along 50th, and lots of space for construction.

Could build a decent size park and ride at the north end of town for commuters.

Regardless if rail or LRT is built, Highway 814 still needs to be a 4 lane divided highway between Edmonton city limits and north of Beaumont.

I think the Beaumont to Edmonton City Limits section is four-lane.

No. It's a 2-lane highway.

I hope Edmonton gets around to upgrading 50 Street to four lanes. With Beaumont around 20,000 people, they need better road connections to Edmonton and the International Airport.

What type of buy in is there even in those areas to help fund LRT expansion to them? I am clearly meaning the parts that would cross boundary lines and be in their jurisdiction.

While I think it would be great to have LRT to Sturgeon Hospital, Sherwood Park (not sure where I would end it there), and Beamont do they have the will to help get it done?

If anything they should likely already be paying an inter municipality revenue sharing agreement, which would be dead on arrival if proposed, unless it all gets allocated to transportation improvements between the jurisdictions and the borders between them.

I think that if the LRT is built to the Southern edge of Edmonton with the future possibility of an LRT station into Beaumont development in both Edmonton and Beaumont would increase significantly. If the right developers see a Beaumont station like the Clareview Station in regards to what is built and being built around it, I think Beaumont could see great value in helping support LRT construction as the population size/tax base would great significantly.
