I’m pretty sure the shared use path detour signage stated the work will last at least 2 years.

Can you imagine how busy will be our LRT system when we extend it to the Northwest and St. Albert, and introduce the BRT system that will eventually also become LRT?

An LRT ride from Ellerslie to the International Airport would be about 15 minutes. I’m sure Leduc will continue to grow as well.

In watching grass grow news, I did see the south approach to the Henday LRT bridge looking like more of a slope.

Most of the old shared-use path along the 111 Street Blackmud Creek bridge is now being removed.

Trees have been removed on the south side of the ravine, too. Lots of earth moved in the last week.

Still a stupid idea to have a station there, especially when residents didn’t want it, and it’s only a 5 minute bus ride to century park? Could have saved the money to elevate heritage valley station. Reminds me of when they tried to put a stop at harry ainlay. Thank god that failed, too bad it didn’t here.

You're assuming there would still be a direct bus route to Century Park along 111 St. It could end up being some version of a local route that takes an indirect routing or perhaps even just On Demand to connect to the LRT, whether or not there was a Twin Brooks Station.

Why are they doing such a fancy design for the station? I’ve always thought it should be more barebones like McKernan, since it’s not much more than a local neighbourhood stop.

Seems pretty barebones to me, honestly. McKernan-Belgravia could have had more shelter.
