Man O man was it a busy worksite yesterday…..I’d reckon north of 150 workers….a few dozen pieces of equipment going and every square inch between 23rd and the Henday had a ton of activity on it…..yet we are still five years away from completion? Ledcor is kicking ass on this!

I have been wondering for awhile if this is at all ahead of schedule. Maybe the roadworks are, but the stop construction and transit garage will probably take awhile and stretch it into the original completion time.

I could swear they’ve been doing pre-construction activities since 2023, so it’s possible. The crews have also been quite productive over the winter months, whenever it was warmer than -15. Calgary’s Blue Line Extension westward finished a year early (with lots of trenches, tunnels and a guideway) so it’s not out of the question for this project to be finished early too.

If you can only have one, which one would it be?
It really would depend. If the attendants have the authority to kick individuals out of the stations, then I would be leaning towards having the attendants,. Although, due to the way that our society here in Edmonton feels that troublemakers are just misunderstood and should be treated gently all the time my first choice is still the pass Gates. If non-paying individuals can't get into the station easily that already starts helping deal with the problem
