Everytime I read a news article about this allegation I can't believe how many threads Mraiche is pulling. or at least how many lead back to him.

I'm sure it will be as effective as all the other RCMP investigations into UCP corruption. 🙄
That one was more about election rules and arcane party processes. This one seems closer to typical fraud schemes, where a vendor or vendors uses someone in the inside an organization to help them get contracts they shouldn't otherwise.

Jeebus, I hope not all Yanks think all Albertans are like THIS GUY! He needs to be jailed....."hundreds of Albertans in HIS delegation...." Piss off!

".....Foothills based." Great, him and 'Ol Smitty are best buds / pals, friendos.......

The urban/rural divide will become a bigger issue for all parties.

There seems to be less political interest in leaving people alone, and I've definitely seen resentment towards cities from rural people.

A lot going on in the world, so it's easy for a story like this to slip through the cracks, but the UCP caucus just shrunk by one MLA: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmo...-over-threat-to-vote-against-budget-1.7478423
Just goes to show the amateur hour at play here. Buddy from Slave votes against his own party?! What did he think was going to happen? Now he's on the streets back up in Slave like the rest of them. Not sure if anyone told him, "hey Bud - if you vote against your own party(s) Bills - you're gonna be jobless." It kinda looks like this was his first job ever......

There are now entire political parties whose main goals are to stir up resentments and grievances of various people to help them get into power and stay in power.

Yes, there are unaddressed issues in rural Alberta which I am sure is frustrating for them, but if they think the cities have it so great, they are wrong.

There are unresolved social problems and other issues here our governments are not dealing with well. And how about the hospital that was to be built here in 2018 that never was?

So everybody has something to complain about.

Yes, we are suffering from a massive dirth of unifying leaders, that can speak to people about the trade offs of urban vs rural, east vs west, etc. Instead the winning combo is divisive approaches and pointing to someone else as the problem.
