Warehouse Park should be fine as it is.

If renaming the park is a must then may I suggest the following:

Lauren Hunter Park - she is the Sonic 102.9 DJ who coined the phrase "Nathan Fillion Civilian Pavilion"
Cree translation of Warehouse Park if doable
Andy Moog Park - if we're running out of Oilers dynasty legends to name things after
McKenzie Park - named after the legendary Bob and Doug McKenzie from SCTV, can move the statues from the Ice District to this park
Elk Park - due to the apparent abundance of elk in the vicinity, not to be confused with the nearby national park
Water Fountain Park - just for the sake of irony
Stephen Mandel Park or Don Iveson Park - to honor a great mayor
Bioware Park - named after the gaming company

Aka Trump’s Garden by proxy…..

Warehouse is indeed fine for now.

Just had an update that the 106 and 107 Street roadway redo, sidewalk, public realm update will commence this spring and be wrapped up by end of year.
Maybe, just maybe the crap buildings on the corner of 108 will be demo’d by then….so that they don’t have to go back in so many years time and re-do or not re-do that section.

@MacLac are you tongue-in-cheek referring to the Westrich soon-to-be?
Haha......I'm not that mean....lol. Meant if these buildings on Jasper and 108 - hopefully they'll be demolished soon and that the city can re-do the this corner's roads, sidewalks etc. Funny enough, I was kinda wondering if you were thinking that....

Boiler Room After Mordicai Richler referred to Edmonton as the “Boiler Room of Canada “

I support that. It's a funny analogy because he's comparing Canadian cities to rooms of a house—Vancouver is the solarium, Toronto the counting room, Montreal the salon, and Edmonton the boiler room. All of which leads to the question: did Mordecai Richler know what a house was? (And dare I ask which city is the bathroom?)

That analogy features in an essay about Gretzky which is full of delicious backhanded compliments. On that note, how about changing Wayne Gretzky Drive to Mordecai Richler Drive? I propose this not because Richler spent any significant amount of time in Edmonton, but rather the opposite: he would loathe having his name associated with this city in any way, so we would have our revenge.

While we're thinking up noted Edmontonians to name things after: how about Sheila Watson Park, after the novelist and cofounder of influential Edmonton-based literary journal The White Pelican? It could be Sheila and Wilfred Watson Park, including her husband—a playwright, poet, and co-founder of the Yardbird Suite—although by all accounts he was kind of a jerk.

I'm curious to know what is the Cree translation of Warehouse Park? Anyone have a Cree dictionary handy?
