Not transit but good infrastructure news - the Granville connector is now open. The street reconfiguration on the north end is done and the protected cycle track connecting the Arbutus greenway with downtown is now open. All that remains is general bridge rehab on the south side, but the walkway and cycle tracks will remain open throughout.


 
I lived in Vancouver in the late 90s when I was in grad school, and my wife and I love to visit every year or so. I love seeing how it changes, without experiencing the day-to-day annoyance of construction. It's a neat city, with some amazing food, though TBH we spend more time in the Ucluelet/Tofino area on Vancouver Island.

Looks great. We need this on the Bloor viaduct.

Now I know what bike lanes on the Gardiner would look like.

These are such a great addition but the signage needs to be improved. There's quite a bit of lane crossing for the exits on the south side at the moment (also no one in the world drives the 40kph speed limit).
