One sad truth about this video are the parking lots at some of the strip malls on 104 Avenue. There are a bunch of Edmonton area residents who will continue to use cars, no matter what the efforts made to improve LRT. Unless parking is free, some people will not come downtown.

Tbh, I think the approach has worked. I’ve found the complete shutdowns not horrible and barely different in experience than general construction the last 2 years.

Let’s use this approach more.

Best part of these projects: seeing the streetscape integration really beginning to take shape. I feel for those in Glenora that have been impacted by years (esp. when you include pre-con utility work) of construction but this is going to be a delightfully urban corridor once complete.
