Application for land use redesignation at 24 Ave SW in Mission, right beside the river. They're looking for a change to a high-density low-rise building with a maximum height of 26 metres (6 storeys) and a minimum of 14 units.

Saw the following Instagram Post, which I thought was a little comical. It seems to be residents at the building adjacent, facing 25 Ave SW. They're complaining about the height and density of the proposed building, despite living in a 5 storey building themselves... They reference "neighbourhood character" which is interesting given their own building, and the two giant apartment buildings opposite them. I don't agree that development-related concerns are always baseless, but this one is silly given that they live in Mission (a dense inner city neighbourhood) and are already living in a large apartment building themselves.
I saw the same post and rolled my eyes. There is a bit of this going on around here, that proposal we all liked faced off with an adjacent landowner. I'm surprised Mission hasn't had the same type of proposals as Sunnyside/Hillhurst (Kensington). Lots of properties ripe for renewal.

Have we seen this one yet? This looks like another Sarina projects that bookends Marda Loop at 33 and 14 Street - https://dmap.calgary.ca/?p=DP2026-02795
