It could be the perennial university thing: headcount versus full time equivalents and which measure do you use where.1,200 students is bigger than I thought the SAPL program was, is there other students part of this too?
Yes, the plan is to bring all SAPL students under the same roof in the Nexen tower rather than the current arrangement which is a split between Professional Faculties on campus and the CBDL building (old central library).I wonder if the other faculty space occupying the old Central Library building will also move over to the new premises?
I think 1,200 students is the eventual size of SAPL. The plan is to expand undergraduate placements under BDCI to 200 students for each year cohort (4 year program).1,200 students is bigger than I thought the SAPL program was, is there other students part of this too?
Really curious what the hang up is. I've noticed new hotel announcements in Calgary seem to be the mid-tier ones: Elements, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, etc. and maybe the issue is they want something on the level of a JW (EDM Ice District), Park Hyatt premium chain? Some hotel news-ish?

Calgary Stampede posts record revenues, unexpected black ink in 2024
The Calgary Stampede enjoyed record revenues last year and an unexpected $4.8 million in net revenues.calgaryherald.com
Also, land transactions with the city also related to the events centre netted the Stampede an on-paper gain of $66.9 million.
Some of those land swaps could ultimately see hotels built on three locations with a total of nearly 1,000 rooms, said Cowley.
“We’re working diligently on one site in particular which we could be announcing this summer,” he said.
“It’s what the majority of convention organizers demand, that their delegates remain on-site.”
Wonder which one of Weadickville, Cowboys Casino or Macleod and 12th could be getting an announcement or another announcement if it were Cowboys Casino?
