Scorpio Masonry is there doing the brickwork repointing so they're the best (really the only) in the business and I'm assuming ghost signs would be kept or touched-up.

That's good. It would be very nice to see the sign restored. While they are at it, I hope they can also clean up and straighten the angle of the brick above the entrance to match the building lines. It has the look of an uncompleted demolition.

I hope that the opening on the left of the ghost signs will also be retained.

Actually it would create some architectural drama if the opening was enclosed in glass (a mini version of the glass connection between the Boardwalk and the Revillon Building), allowing the development of an interior court and terrarium filled with plants.

I believe the public art (lower right behind the tree) may be moved to accommodate a future restaurant patio.

Pan handlers will drive people away - that flower bed is best left as it.

This project has such a disproportionate impact on downtown and the public perception of downtown!

Wow! Scorpio Masonry is an exceptional company!
Looks like they completely re mortared all the brick, completely stripped the old paint and replaced with brand new paint
All signs are gone
removed environmental stains on the lime stone
Stripped the horrible paint at the bottom on the base stones and installed brand new flashing at the base!
brought new life to old stones through washing and patching and I don't see any damaged bricks!
I hope they bring the inside to life just as good as the exterior!

Good news! Minor point, but could they have just adjusted the sign of the banner so it didn't partly cover the just nicely restored historical painted signage?
