The 1981-1991 Long Range Development Plan for the University of Alberta contained a concept for a new Faculty Club located north of the Earth Sciences Building. The concept showed a building extending over Saskatchewan Drive with a viewing platform overlooking the North Saskatchewan River Valley.

^ that creek is actually a storm water pond. You can see it if you go on the MUP on the south side beside the Whitemud wall.

I don’t think there’s any need for new service. The 55 and 706 buses stop right at the West and North sides of the area and bring you straight to Southgate, and the 702 is basically already a shuttle bus to South Campus.
