I'll try google maps tonight for TTC but Gaode/A Map for China would give recommendations on car, platform exit, and station exit for trips, transferring or otherwise.
New Yorks new R211's do this as well. If New York can figure it out then there is no excuse for us beyond laziness, incompetence, and a continued culture that rewards mediocrity.

You’re saying about this organization that doesn’t have any technical expertise to implement this?

They only figured out how to display something different on the TR screens after a decade. As for the bus LCD displays, they are still reeling to figure out how to organize it.

Someone from there basement can do it but they don’t seem like they can could.

I use the "Efficient TTC" on my smartphone to find where the train car will be closest to the escalator at stations that I want to use and haven't been before in a long time.

Noticed that it hasn't been updated in a while. Still show Line 3 as Scarborough (not Ontario Line). o_O

Greetings from the 39 degree oven that is Budapest!

Thought I'd share these with you for those who may be interested.

Note the wayfinding signage which is far more helpful than anything I've seen in Toronto.

Now it's off to the Grand Market Hall! Enjoy your day everyone

Google Maps Boarding locations for faster transfers and exits on Line 1 and 2, you won't always get a recommendation.

Did try this last night and it broadly works but isn't definitive enough for me - i'd prefer car numbers instead of broad Front/Rear. You know what would make it easier to know what car we're boarding? Platform doors!

If I were to improve this further i'd build in station exits into the wayfinding. For example, it told me to exit Front but didn't tell me what station exit to take. In my instance last night it would have recommended the Russett Ave Exit at Dufferin station.

An aside, I was stuck in the College-St.Clair L1 closure last night. Despite it occurring for 15+ minutes by the time I boarded there was no announcement on the train from when I boarded at King until we stopped short of College where we were all told the train would be terminating. As usual, promised shuttle buses at street-level but did not see any.

It's hard to tell from streetview but I don't think the second bay has a stairwell and even if it did it certainly doesn't have an elevator. If it's just accessible from a walkway I suppose they could swap the 26 to the 2nd bay and put the Spadina traffic through primary bay to cut down on the walkway traffic. Even then the primary bay is undersized as @johntauren notes and since it's just a week it's easier to make no changes to the station and let riders just figure it out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The TTC is planning on relocating the 26 to Rosedale station. This means St. George will have no bus service left. I wanted to photograph this cute little bus bay just in case the area gets redeveloped.

Also, new Don Valley Line 5 maps have been installed at the surface stops.

Woah, I had suggested that exact change to the 26 in their survey.. very cool!

Curious about the new Line 5 signs, and how they decided what would be filled lines (underground?) instead of outlines (at grade?). May be confusing if the service pattern really does turn half the trains back at Laird. Also hides the "underground-ness" of Don Valley and Kennedy stations.

I imagine, but don't know, that the terminal will be demolished as part of the plans for the expansion of St.George Station. (or maybe before).

Those are likely pushed off into the 2030s.....I'd have to look it up, but the intent is to add side platforms on one side for both levels, similar to Bloor-Yonge's Line 2 project

Who could have forseen this?

Also, I can see out my window right now a very long line of westbound streetcars stopped on Queen.
Eastbound streetcars seem to be moving though. No idea what's happening.
Yes, we just walked by huge line of 10 or 12 504 and 501 near Jarvis, all going west. Many were signed as Short Turn Church. So someone seems to be trying to manage the situation.

I notice that out of service New Flyer Artics head westbound on the 401 near the 427. Are they going to Wajax for maintenance?
