TTC and the police can get the ID/IP of the posters who post their videos on YouTube that will lead them to their front door of the poster. Then can round up the rest of the group for some big fines and charges.

The police have already charged a number of drivers who have posted videos of them speeding and sunt driving. This will make a small dent to what is taking place as well cut down people doing things illegal to the point less videos will get posted to stop copy cats trying the same thing.

Now now, it’s hardly reasonable to conflate skateboarding an empty concourse with stunt driving. Deterring skateboarders is the least of the City and TTCs worries.

Lansdowne:
Thank you JB!!
Legendary compilation, thanks for sharing!

The Toronto Police aren't even interested in doing their jobs on the ground, and we think they'll go after someone who posted a video of themselves SKATEBOARDING in a place they weren't supposed to on YouTube? Riiiiiiiight.

More signal issues today on line 1. And to think that the same system will be installed on line 2.
Wonderful news.

They should have kept the legacy signals in place as a backup.

I really don't know what is wrong with the TTC.
They advertised this as the state of the arts bulletproof system and hence they need more money to install it back in 2017. if the results is still a system wide disruption, they shouldn't upgrade Line 2.

Also due to the cold weather the homeless people are using the TTC as shelter. There were some people riding the TTC helping the homeless people and guiding them to shelter, but I haven't seen them recently.

More support is needed to help these people who have mental health issues get help. And the issue is to get them help even if they don't consent to it.

On days like today it would be great to have al alternative to use the GO Richmond Hill Line. At least if you could get to Union, you can get anywhere downtown using the streetcar.

There's been a lot of information. There's an entire frequently updated detailed page on their website - https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service/Reduced-Speed-Zones
This is AFTER an audit was forced on them. They've been hiding it for years. But there's always some TTC apologists despite their decades of mismanagement. I can't even even start with the SRT flying off the rails (literally).

Why are closures still constant after ATC upgrades?
Why is Line 1 busted twice in a few months due to "signal issues"?

And as I said upthread, how exactly does someone decide what is and isn't loitering? If we stick to the spirit of the rule then we have to ticket anyone who is standing around taking photos instead of using the transit system for traveling (AND anyone who is waiting for someone to arrive by a specific vehicle!), which would be spiteful; and a waste of time.

And how does someone decide what is and isn't a public nuisance? As I also said upthread, the language the bylaw uses is very vague. As something of a miserable bastard myself, I could argue that someone with low quality headphones with music bleeding our of them, through no fault of their own, is a nuisance. Should they be ticketed? What about someone who on an empty subway train sits uncomfortably close to me? What about if I'm deeply religious and I see someone wearing a Pentagram shirt, or a woman showing immodest amounts of skin? At the end of the day, public transit is here to serve a diverse cross section of society, and we're not always going to get along.

If the bylaw was any good, it wouldn't use meaningless word salad but outline clearly the types of behaviours that it finds unacceptable. Leaving it up to the discretion of an inspector or constable is a stupid idea, these types of low level positions of authority are well known around the world for attracting some of the very worst types of people, petty authoritarians who couldn't hack it as cops who love to make the lives of little people as unpleasant as can be. (See also: retail managers).

It's all well and good to just say "enforce the bylaws!", but if the bylaws are vague and unhelpful then that doesn't actually achieve anything.
Um stinking of piss and screaming at randoms is a good baseline to start with.

You think someone who is so mentally far gone that they stink of piss and are screaming at other people is someone that can be ticketed away under a bylaw infraction?????????????
