a little more progress.

I drove through it on May 23, so one week before you did, and I could not believe how badly timed the lights were, in some cases backing up traffic enough so that you might not actually move for a full cycle, and then you might get through two lights before having to stop again. It was bizarre how traffic alternately backed up then left wide open gaps on 7. Something with their traffic management system is definitely not working correctly.Today:

If by "interesting", you mean extremely congested, sure.
I drove through here today outside rush hour, and it was quite packed.
It's a zoo during peak and I can't imagine what it will be like with another 90,000 people.
This area sucks big time.
And of course way too many lights/intersections. Every damn plaza has one for some reason.I drove through it on May 23, so one week before you did, and I could not believe how badly timed the lights were, in some cases backing up traffic enough so that you might not actually move for a full cycle, and then you might get through two lights before having to stop again. Or at least restrict every second intersection to RIRO (right-in, right-out) only. Anyway, better timing of lights could address some (but not all) of the issue now.And of course way too many lights/intersections. Every damn plaza has one for some reason.
There should have been service roads behind the plazas instead, running parallel to 7, and connecting to 7 at a single, consolidated intersection.
