Don't forget they asked for bids on the lighting about 5 or 6 years ago but then cancelled the bids. I am hopeful they will not do this this time but, like opera, 'it's not over until the fat lady sings'

I wouldn't count on anything with respect to the city (and especially at Union Station) - not even after they have put up the chandeliers.

Removing that is in the 2031 capital expenditures budget.

I went there this morning to look at the area and the bollards are not really to stop vehicles entering that area they are to stop vehicles demolishing the wall and/or parking on the large cover of a pit of some kind. Whether any vehicles should be allowed there at all is an open question but vehicles CAN get there and I guess signage of some sort is thus required.

Where does that glass structure lead to?

In other news, bollards are completed in front of the taxi stand on Front Street, jersey barriers still in place for the time being.
