The previous submission had a GO platform shown as part of the Centre Block in the architectural package on the city website.
The station building itself is/was to be part of the 433 Front West development that Renzo Piano were once attached to.

How so?

This is the exact same proposal we've look at before, but with pretty pictures from a reputable architect. Nothing else has changed here, at this point. The remainder of the site was only ever discussed as a City Park, paid for by the City, which is not happening.

It's utterly ridiculous, lol. We go from the idea of having a large park over the rail deck, to having a bunch of condos but still a fairly sizeable park, to having a bunch of condos and a couple tiny slivers of a park. Depressing and soulless.
 
This feels like a dead horse that keeps getting a beating when they should of longed gathered it up and taken it away... >.<

The Toronto Outdoor Picture show has screenings in Corktown on the lawn right next to all GO & VIA trains heading to and from Union and seems to manage fine, or at least well enough for them to keep doing it and people packing the park. Both the movie goers/audio setup and trains are at roughly the same level too.

All the trains behind the where the screen is placed at the Toronto Rail Yards development will basically be in a pit and should be quieter than at Corktown, especially if they follow through with the glass noise barriers I can make out in the renderings where they are doing the movie screening.

Or they could host movies about trains such as: Silver Streak, Bullet Train, The Polar Express, Snowpiercer, Runarway Train, Chattanooga Choo Choo to name a few... 😼
