...and 365 Church. It has more bargain grey spandrel than Canderel can shake a stick at. >.<

In the grand scheme of things there's nothing too interesting about the exterior of this building. However, considering Toronto's obsession with the banal, this is a real winner for the city.

Contrasting nicely with the greygreen. The fanned tan concrete on the podium is gorgeous too (not pictured)

The Eglinton is fine... it is above average compared to other Toronto condos. 365 Church tho.... like what happened Menkes?
I guess fine in a sense, but it replaced a decent building with something cheaper looking, and with poor massing, heck the street level is a wash. 365 Church is worse, but the exterior to the Eglinton is still quite unfortunate.
I'd say its average with any condo building recently, but that doesn't mean its not mediocre.

I quite like this overall for the obvious reasons stated by others, the use of curves and colour are welcome relief from more typically banal boxes.

I still would have preferred real brick to pre-cast on the podium; but such is the need for value-engineering.....

My only other very slight nit, is that the colouration of the precast doesn't quite line-up w/that of the fins. The fins are a bit more red, and the precast is a bit more orange/tan.

I don't know that they need to be a perfect match, but I think I would have liked to see it a bit closer w/the podium becoming a bit redder and more vivid.

But its still a very good effort overall.
