The right hand area is the new Webb Dr extension with the intersection built for it already with traffic light. There was no traffic lights until last year when work was started for the extension. Seen no site plan for the whole site including the extension other than a line on an area map. Don't expect to see anything builr on the site for at least 5-10 years due to the market condition as well the completion of the Exchange in 2027.

Catching them burning something and polluting the fresh morning air lol But yeah after they fence up the plot nicely and seal it off, they don't do anything else. Use the space inside as a parking lot again.

I hope you're right and I hope camrost ends up selling the site to someone with a more imaginative vision for the site instead of another 4 duplicated towers lmao

I hope you’re wrong and there’s building happening in 2028. No one should celebrate the delay of repurposing parking lots and in this case the extension of Webb drive. There’s a lot of potential here so I remain hopeful.

The site west of the construction parking lot is supposed to be 180 site according to a sign posted where the developer went to the Committee of Adjustment on Aug 28 asking to to build 2 towers with 68 indoor bike space and 20 outside bikes with a map of the area. You can almost see the sign close to the sidewalk on Burnhamthorpe that I shot on Aug 18. This site is not own by Camrost-Felcorp as far as I can tell.

Based on market conditions with the Exchange, M City, Parkside Village and Stak36 still selling units for building under construction is why I am say 5-10 years down the road at this time. There are a fair number projects on the books for MCC area beside the ones noted. Still have the 2nd phase for Stak36 and Sq One site beside the exchange to do as well the YMCA site to do as well rest of M City and Parkside Village. If I am wrong than I am wrong which is very possible for condos, but not for apartments building as they will happen sooner than later.. Lets wait until 2026 to see who opens a sales office for vicious MCC projects if anything will break ground in 2028-30 as it not going to happen from my point of view.

You got the 71s tower at Hurontario that has over a dozen boreholes for the site now, Then there is the 2 sites at Mathew Gates and a 40s apartment building on Elm Dr E to come to the market yet.

I like this one and The Exchange I think has turned out well. So I do hope this one gets built. And will be nice to have Webb Dr. finally extended. And Kariya Dr needs to be extended too. I would be really curious to see the exact routing they have in mind for the City Centre Drive extension and Square One Drive eastern extensions (the western extension lines up with Via Russo Ct but interestingly keeps it as a court and doesn't allow vehicular access there. Maybe residents don't want it.

Edit to add: here is a pic of the Southlands lot directly from the centerline of that leg of Enfield Place.

I personally wish they would build the Frank Gehry's original vision for Mirvish+Gehry here. The three towers proposal which got converted into Forma.

It will look so awesome here, along with Exchange, Marilyn Monroe Buildings, and M City.
