I guess you don't live downtown... it's WILD down here literally lolGlad it's not the name of the team as the NHL already has that name. Plus it wouldn't make sense for this city.

I was waiting for that response from someone.I guess you don't live downtown... it's WILD down here literally lol

It's also possibly the worst team name in the Big 4 sports lol
The scoreboard is brutally bad and super disappointing for a new install in my opinion, whether you consider the facility top-tier or second-tier or whatever. The game video is compressed by the score below it. OHL buildings have better scoreboard. Now with three teams calling TD Coliseum home, do we think they will replace the Jumbotron in the near future to something bigger and better than what they initially installed? If I am remembering correctly, the jumbotron is small and very bland because it was supposed to be a concert-first venue, ad easier to hide in the rafters for concerts. But now between the Rock/PWHL/AHL, that's roughly 60 sporting events throughout the year. Is it enough to warrant something bigger and more enhanced for a better experience for fans?
I assume part of the reason is because the singular names are a newer thing and the women's leagues are newer.I agree about singular team names. Even though I'm used to them by now, they still sound weird to me.
We're seeing more of them as new teams start up - probably because they're running out of original plural names.
Noticed of the 4 major sports leagues in North America, the NFL and MLB have no singular team names.
The NBA has 3 and the NHL has 5.
For some reason the women's leagues seem to like them as the WNBA has 9 (out of 15 teams) and the PWHL has 5 (out of 8 teams).
glad someone brought this up. i've never understood the argument that TD coliseum is far from the GO Station. It's no different than the SkyDome to Union Station....maybe a little less to look at so it feels longer but it's pretty much the same walk.yea, it's really not a terrible walk at all. It's actually about the same as walking to the Skydome from Union Station:

The only difference is much of that walk can be done indoors protected from weather but yes not much difference in the length of your walk.glad someone brought this up. i've never understood the argument that TD coliseum is far from the GO Station. This was previously suggested as a reason the scoreboard may be upgraded. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they upgrade the scoreboard prior to PWHL or maybe before the second season if it does well. I can't imagine they spent any substantial money on the scoreboard and they could likely sell it to another smaller venue with an aging scoreboard. Now with three teams calling TD Coliseum home, do we think they will replace the Jumbotron in the near future to something bigger and better than what they initially installed?
