The province is not jumping in because they want First Capital to pay for the station. Metrolinx has been value engineering all sorts of things as of late, so they're not springing for anything just-for-the-heck-of-it. In the meantime, the zoning change that allowed First Capital to build here requires that the GO station open before/along with the first buildings. So, unfortunately for transit accessibility for everyone in the area, First Capital won't go ahead until the pro forma for the first phase works here, including the costs for the station.can the province/metrolinx not jump in and build the park lawn go faster? I know it's tied to the condo development here in Phase 1 but if the condo market stalls - it's never going to be built
Also, if there was a park lawn go - it might help create more demand in this area for condos...
ridiculous - it was supposed to open in 2026 originally when I moved to this area in 2017.
