The crane came down yesterday
I know it is needed, and I know $$ are not abundant and I know that, one day, it will be built taller but does it really have to look so boring?9 weeks later....... on July 3rd, 2025.

I mean, they could always add exposed pipes and vents like they did with their other building behind it... >.<I know it is needed, and I know $$ are not abundant and I know that, one day, it will be built taller but does it really have to look so boring?
Why? They desperately need more and better space in Emerg and they built it so that the bottom floors can remain open when they get $ to build higher. It is not an elegant building but it IS necessary. They should have just waited for the funding and built the whole thing at once.

Especially since St. Mike's is one of the only two Level 1 Trauma Centres in the GTA.

I noticed today that they (or City??)are digging up on east side of the Bond St wing but not sure if this means the reno of Bond Wing is starting. This is what the completed build will look like with the 6-storey Shuter Wing and refurbished Bond Wing (apologies for the pixels)
