... glad I got floor seats...
None of the shows announced so far interest me. (I'm old enough that I've never heard of at least half of the acts that play arenas and stadiums.) But as I said in the thread about the arena in Hamilton, I've always avoided floor seats since the first concert I went to at Maple Leaf Gardens as a kid that had me in Row ZZ (or whatever it was) at the back of the floor, seeing nothing but the backs of everyone in front of us. I suppose since then the big video screens might have improved the situation a little.

Also two new Premium websites for both the North Loge Deck and Premium Suite Rentals. Premium buyers get dedicated entrances and a shuttle service from parking to the VIP Gates, they can also buy a parking spot. So it seems like parking is for people with disabilities and Premium buyers as it says on the website now "There will be NO PUBLIC PARKING available on site for Rogers Stadium events". Good luck running a 50,000 capacity stadium with basically no parking.

Hate to be picky but ADA is the American accessibility legislation.
AODA is Ontario's accessibility legislation so why this might well be called an ADA box in the USA, it's not what we'd call it here (frankly, I don't think it's ever called an AODA box either).

Doesn't sound like they had anyone homegrown do these pics but points for effort. (Or perhaps it's a homegrown AI service...)

Yea, as much as you can encourage people to use the TTC and GO to attend the event, there will always be those who want to drive. It boggles my mind how many people drive to Budweiser Stage for concerts, even during the CNE!

Lightning in the area, a distinct possibility here in the summer, could be a real problem at this venue. I've been at Exhibition Place when people have been asked to go inside the buildings (particularly the trade/Enercare Centre) or under the stands at BMO Field before the renovation that added the canopies, but the scaffolding stands here don't look like anything that will allow anyone, let alone 50,000 people, to hide underneath them in those circumstances.

This is a private venture by a private firm so I imagine that the math works better without parking. If one absolutely must have parking to go to a concert then choose to go to a venue with parking. Am I missing something?! 🤭🤪🤓

The "no public parking" proclamation was made only in the last few days, apparently to the annoyance of some who bought tickets months ago, particularly those who intended to drive here from less urban locations, and are unfamiliar with, afraid of, or I suppose just don't like public transit.
But there never was anything said that would have caused anyone to assume there would be parking right at the venue, and of course it shouldn't be an automatic assumption for any venue in Toronto.

Edit: Now that I think about it, even big events that are out in the middle of nowhere will usually have shuttle buses bringing people to the venue from off-site locations.

People can park at Yorkdale, Wilson, Black Creek Pioneer Village, or VMC and take the subway (or ride share). My god, it's not complicated

It's difficult to imagine someone having such an irrational aversion to just taking the subway to Downsview for a small number of stops after parking at the Highway 407 station.

I recall walking there a couple of years back when the Ont Place parking lots were still being used, and traffic was at a stand-still on Lake Shore Blvd with some people getting out of their cars to yell at the police who were telling them the lots were full.
I also remember being in the vicinity one evening when there was a concert at Downsview Park and traffic was similarly not moving, and walking to the subway station as there was no chance of getting a bus on Keele or Sheppard.

It's not that difficult to imagine, really. Lots of people love to go to the city for any sort of entertainment but are afraid of everything else about the city. Public transit, downtown, whatever. It's like half the reason why suburbs exist.

it's a nightmare. i went to NOFX at Downsview last year and there was heavy rains and lightning and they had to evacuate downsview. people had nowhere to go. everyone was just hanging out under what few buildings there were, hanging out in fields getting soaked just waiting. we had to leave the grounds with lightning in the area.

There's not much parking left at Wilson, now the main lot is closed. But there's tons along the subway there - and a big one at 407 station, and a completely massive one at Pioneer Village station. And there's also the GO station at Downsview Park, so one could park at any Barrie Line GO station north of Toronto, which have big free parking lots - that are empty at that time of day.

During the CNE is crazy - but most of the time, there's more than enough parking on the Exhibition ground and under the Enercare Centre for events at Budweiser. There's an incredible amount of parking available, even with the Ontario Place lots closed. It's the traffic that's a nightmare. It's literally faster to take a GO train.

The 407 one usually looks full. I'm surprised about that one.

The Pioneer Village one doesn't really make sense. It's not really needed
