Reminds me of Oslo which has quite a lot of these floating sauna's

Wonder what it will take for Toronto to have some too

Selfishly this would save me a few trips to Bay/Yonge.
Is there a spot for water taxis to drop people at Ward’s? Because that looks like it would be a shorter trip than from the terminal. I hadn’t heard about Cabana having water taxis- but I could see where the water taxis would prefer the eastern end because they could still charge the same and use less gas.

What are the odds we get to see a water taxi stand here before winter?

Maybe before winter 2035. Way too much construction left in the area. We'll get to enjoy this slip during our retirement years at the slow pace the city is progressing.

It’s funny cuz I was just seeing someone apartment hunting on tiktok check out a couple units here, and just shit all over the views of parliament slip. And all I could think of was, maam- you’ve no idea what’s coming. Or in tik tok parlance “holy fkn airball”

Granted, if they were just renting- sure. But buyers? We’re just a quick 12yrs away from…

And now Vancouver is mocking us!

I'm not sure what this has to do with Toronto.............but I'm sure it doesn't have much to do with Vancouver either.........its an unsolicited third party proposal, with zero funding.

Its a dream.

That's not to say it won't happen, but it certainly hasn't been officially proposed or approved.

I'm curious is that a fact that the bridges etc. will be that many years away?

The Keating Bridge should go In next year, its approved, designed and funded.

The other bridges are unfunded in the most recent plans. They should be, but they aren't. Most are quite short and if the designs weren't too over thought should be in the 4-5 million range per bridge, on average, a bit ore over longer slips or for more elaborate designs, a bit less if keeping it simple and short.

Bridges were proposed at Police Basin, Peter, Rees and Spadina as I recall; there's also the matter of replacing the Amsterdam bridge over the Simcoe Slip. So.... ~ 20-25M for the lot.

Very do-able.

Except for the Amsterdam replacement, there are already existing designs, though I don't think any reached the schematic level.

A reminder for those who haven't see the designs, or have forgotten them. I can only find this one right now, but have the others buried somewhere, I think.

Thank you for the image. I have seen that image before. It's lovely however the Keating bridge is spectacular and only a short detour to stroll around the Parliament slip.
