TYSSE, Crosstown, and Crosstown West all had trackers. Diggy Scardust had one also, until it got stuck.

I'm sure Metrolinx won't let that happen again.

For me the silver lining is that even if we don't get the tracker, at least we can track progress by seeing when the TBM passes through the station caverns (perhaps using aerial footage).

Oh sorry, my reply was about the Englinton Crosstown line. I forgot to check which forum I'm on. šŸ˜•
If it makes you feel any better, ON line construction appears to be moving smoothly with what appears to be an achievable timeline. This is especially shocking as the project is much more ambitious than the crosstown.

The key will be avoiding any massive tbm downtimes, like we recently saw with the scabrough exstention. Fingers crossed ppl

I'm gobsmacked by this image. The amount of work here to level this area must've been very substantial. The old lost river here, which was buried as it hit the tracks and split from the hydro corridor, along with the ravine that was beside those power lines is completely erased.
I'm still saddened by the loss here, of a (fairly) biodiverse, wooded habitat, but this will be my last post about the site of this OSMF, for fear of sounding like a broken record.

Thanks for all your updates @kotsy

Are they shipping by truck from Oshawa to Exhibition Place? Escorted wide loads during the day? Route?

The photo showed thencutting head being lowered onto a flatbed truck.
I imagine there is an erection hall somewhere where the machine is being put together before delivery to the site.

Likely not. Maybe a couple portions of the shield will be assembled prior to delivery to the site but most will remain as they were unloaded from the ship (including the cutterhead as seen in the photo)

Visited there today to see the ships. Are the TBMs already offloaded? I didn't see any action so I assume so?

True - the machines are really not ā€œassembledā€ until they go into the insertion shaft. But I imagine the parts are being collected and staged somewhere other than the i sertion site.
