I mean yea the wwlrt had that in 2018....before design on this was even started.There's zero plans to put streetcars on East Liberty. And it's not that close to the station. The New Street would make more sense - but it's not wide enough.
The plan has always been to have the bridge, and then the east-west track on the south side of the Gardiner.
I haven't seen any renderings of East Liberty Street - perhaps you are thinking of Atlantic Avenue? I'd assume that the Ossington bus would end up on the New Street - and perhaps Atlantic.
Go look up the last update on it and it says exactly that
