"Grey" is a fair cop – our public realm is often dismal. But "empty"? It's an office district, on a weekend, at the height of a pandemic. Of course it's empty.

There's also no leaves on the trees so not really a fair time for judgement (unless we're talking ways in which we can make winter less grey in which case I'm all ears

I still think it’s boring. Well detailed but super boring. High quality curtain wall aside, it’s basically a square with some neat corner details.

I can't say it's boring...too much going on the in the detail of it to write it off as such. But I agree, it's not exciting either. Perhaps the word we're looking for is conservative...

Ok....so this site was not on my list for today, it kept showing itself at distance..........and eventually, I went to give the exhibitionist her due.
First, it peeks out at me, just as I'm walking south from the Sick Kids site:

The 3-piece set of architecture from Queen St. through to the north moves like an historical piece on the entire western flank of City hall. I like this.
