Hm, I wonder how tariffs will impact this project then.

It depends where the panels are manufactured.

If manufactured in the US, probably more expensive as US aluminum prices go up due to tariffs. They import 87% of their supply from Canada and others, which is why placing tariffs on aluminum is particularly stupid.

If in Canada or international, possibly cheaper due to excess supply of aluminum in non-US markets.

Of course, the supply contract might also have been signed at a fixed price or before tariffs with no price adjustment clause, in which case the tariffs will make no difference at all.
