It is cool how you're starting to see the orientation change of the slab
It’ll be a lot cooler once the cladding comes in too lolIt is cool how you're starting to see the orientation change of the slab

Go back a couple posts, cladding has already started...Yeah I completely agree hopefully we will see that in the next month or two I imagine nobody wants to work on exterior cladding In the current weather we have
Dat octagonal column though. Where most are either square, rectangular or circular...wondering what the engineering reason to go with something eight sided instead. This one has been quiet..........

There's some good text explainer, especially for novices, on the details of the window system, at Brandon's site, I would encourage people to follow the link.
probably not engineering reason - columns are usually area based - This is probably an architectural choice for easier interior finishing. The facets make it easier to mount things to, and you get similar volume to a circular column. You can see how far it's from the envelope as well which makes it easier to clean around.Dat octagonal column though. Finally the skyline of Yonge and St. Clair is about to change. It's been shockingly stagnant throughout the condo boom.
That one is Great Gulf so I guess it would happen at some point - They are one of the most reputable builders in town! The project is still on their website.Shame that this project didn't hit the market when sales were still happening. That stretch of buildings along Yonge, south of St Clair, have really languished in recent years:
The Clair | 128.01m | 34s | Terracap Management | Hariri Pontarini
Anyone know what's going on with the two separate residential elevator cores and two separate residential lobbies? The rental replacement units seem to be serviced off of the main elevator bank, but there is a second set of elevators that have a lobby opening into the second level retail unit...urbantoronto.ca
It's Terracap, not Great Gulf. Was a JV, then the relationship fell apart when Chris Wein was ousted. That one is Great Gulf so I guess it would happen at some point - They are one of the most reputable builders in town! The project is still on their website.
Probably a resource allocation issue, they are building Forma along with other projects so that may have sucked up their resources in Toronto.

That sucks... Thanks for the update! It is still on Terracap's website so one can hope - the design is better than most of the ones we have in the city. It's Terracap, not Great Gulf. Was a JV, then the relationship fell apart when Chris Wein was ousted.
