Photos taken today, Friday (May 22). I hesitate to immediately follow such a great set of shots above as mine pale in comparison, but here is my latest weekly peek at 1 Bloor W's progress! As pointed out by ImmenselyMental a few days ago, it seems what I thought last week was glass installed on the walls of the crown at top was in fact frames for insulation. Indeed, those frames can be seen clearly in the photos above - and, given those photos were taken maybe a week ago, we can see the now-installed green insulation in both Immensely's post and in Johnny Au's post a few above this one.

Anyway, I happened to pass by the tower yesterday and saw them in the midst of taking down a couple sections of the east Rail Climbing System (RCS), the platforms from which most of the building's skin was installed. (I took no photos.) There are 9 of these sections to each of the 3 RCSs, and there are now 15 of 27 total sections left. Now visible on the east RCS, which is down to 3 sections left, we can see the 2 climbing apparatus and their positions against the super columns blocking installation of cladding. Just double-checked my old photos on this, but after the trusses are taken down, those climbing devices, 2 to a side, are last to go.

In the one picture you can see where the RCS attaches to the supercolumns is right at the current level this explains why we haven't seen cladding continue though I am curious why they are taking such a long time disassembling the RCS

As always, your photographic chronology of this project has been very thorough and comprehensive. That being said, this is not the first time my username has been misspelled as shown (see below from another thread),
^How about a Broncos vs. Steelers thread? Since their brands end up all over our city whenever ImmensleyMental-san takes a pic... 😼
similar to how "Russell Wilson" is sometimes misspelled "Russel" on posts I have encountered online
Anyways, here is a photo I took of One Bloor West from outside OISE this evening before dinner:

I’m not an expert on this like some of you guys are, but it seems to me that those 4 top storeys have been taking forever to get skin on them. Can someone explain why? Or am I just flat out wrong?

They need to remove the RCS before they can finish as the final fixed position has the raising hydraulics attached to the column on the 81st floor

...that one dude sitting there like that as it was the edge of a sofa makes want to reach for a box of Depends. >.<
When they were constructing a new condo beside my building, I once caught two workers laying concrete on the 17th floor smoking weed. I could smell it from my window and saw them passing it between them.

Since, I have always taken such signs of bravado with a grain of salt; knowing that they might be chemically supported.

RJC just posted a bunch of photos on their LinkedIn page.

Some of the neat ones we will not see from the Street is this:
"Reaching more than 300m into the sky, this mixed-use build in progress has an exciting addition. Because for people who live this high up in the clouds, comfort & stability can't be optional. 👆 That's where the Tuned Mass Damper comes in.

It's a device that helps a structure stay steady in the face of any vibrations that are bound to happen from nature, like wind & seismic activity. "
