Photos taken today, Friday (Feb. 13). Since I posted a week ago, the west Rail Climbing System installing the tower's skin has moved up, to around level 78, closer to clearing the last mechanical level, while the north and east ones remain at level 80, which seems to be as high as they can go. Some of the skin is now on level 81, as seen on the south side.

That lobby is the star of this building. Wow.

You've just made me into a proponent for begging Apple to come back. This is highly reminiscent of Norman Foster's work on Apple Park and many of their newer stores. The CNC'd stone detailed walls, steps, floor and furnishings is likely what we'd have seen if the Apple Store came to The One as originally planned. They would have funded their interior and likely spared no expense. Tridel isn't going to build this and if it becomes any other store, I don't think we'll see the full potential of what Foster had in mind for this space.

^Nice. As for the exterior design, generally beautiful and striking (much more so that One Bloor, imo), but the tapering is too pronounced. The building becomes far too broad towards the bottom, and then there's this interesting diagonal overhang at the base. I tend towards loving 270 Park Ave. in the main, but it is uncomplimentarily shaped like a Christmas tree. Its most obvious analogue is the Sears Tower.

Feels like One Bloor has slowed down or stalled a bit once more. No?

Not much visible progress around the top in months.

There’s stuff that’s most likely going on inside that we can’t see. I mean like completing units and what not, all things unglamorous and unassuming that still need to get done…

…so it’s weird when folks talk about it being “stalled” without ever considering this first.

I'm pretty sure that exterior work has probably been slowed as of late due to the cold temperatures they're also could be a wind speed cut off for working on the higher floors

I think I speak for most of us when I say that would suck because it makes it more difficult to see what they're doing

Yeah but would make working conditions easier as the RCS would block the wind which I imagine is pretty high at those altitudes I think pretty much all that is left is cladding and once the RCS comes down I can foresee the crane being disassembled within the next 2 months as well
