As to the question on whether it’s passed FCP, no one knows for sure until they start working on the crown. The problem is there’s no definitive height for FCP - 298 m, 292 m or even lower according to different sources.

I think it's only 2-3m away from FCP

Also wtf Tridel thinking with the name change just copying the tower across the street, the name is a downgrade.
Copying 1 Bloor East? 1 Bloor West IS the address. In fact, there are buildings called The One in Kowloon (Hong Kong), Brisbane (Australia), Colombo (Sri Lanka) and LA, so 'The One" was the the one guilty of copying ;) I doubt that's the reason Tridel decided to rebrand it, maybe it was too tainted with the Mizrahi association? At the end of the day, a cool name doesn't guarantee quality or prestige of the building - remember Ice?

I know it's the address but for a flagship type tower just having it named after the address is kinda lame. The other Ones are not even in the same continent where as One Bloor East is across the street. It doesn't really instill or illicit any prestige. This is Canada's first supertall after all....

"The One" moniker always struck me as...déclassé...

Imo, One Bloor East and One Bloor West is best. It conveys a sense of sisterhood (and is actually unique in the world) for two landmark 'twin' towers in Toronto, in the most famous intersection in the city. Even if other The One's (which I never really vibed with) are located in other countries, one wants true uniqueness so when you google One Bloor West you get specific results of the landmark tower. Like 432 Park Ave or John Hancock center ;)
